- Approximate location data or postcode data when you use location-based features.
- Notification preferences and push notification token when you enable alerts.
- Analytics and crash diagnostics from PostHog and Sentry to improve app reliability and usage insights.
How we use information
- To create and secure your account.
- To show nearby deals and support deal posting, editing, and moderation flows.
- To send optional deal alerts when notifications are enabled.
- To diagnose crashes, monitor performance, and improve product quality.
Permissions
- Location is used only for location-based deal discovery and postcode assistance.
- Camera and photo library access are used only when you choose to attach images.
- Notifications are used only for optional deal alerts.
Third-party services
PostCodeDeals uses Firebase for authentication and backend services, Sentry for crash reporting, and PostHog for product analytics.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Data is shared only with the service providers listed above, solely to operate and improve the app, and only to the extent necessary to provide those services.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. Account and deal data are retained while your account remains active. You can request deletion by using the in-app account deletion feature. Crash and analytics data may be retained by our service providers according to their configured retention periods.
